The project
The replacement building Murmeli of the Haslizentrum in Hasliberg Wasserwendi was to replace the existing two-story hotel building. A new three-story wooden building with 8 apartments on 3 floors was created.
The construction method
The new wooden building was placed on the existing basement (solid construction). The existing staircase (also solid construction) was retained. The floor slabs were made of hollow box elements, walls and roof were prefabricated in timber frame construction. A slate eternite was chosen for the roofing.
The challenge
Clearly - fire protection. Building a hotel out of wood is normally not allowed. In cooperation with the fire protection authorities, a structural fire protection concept was drawn up, on the basis of which an exemption permit could be issued. According to the requirements, a fire resistance of 60 minutes had to be achieved. The planning and execution were subject to quality assurance level Q4, which requires the supervision of a fire protection engineer.
